Ahead of the 2023 general election, the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has declared that he would be running to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
Bello made the declaration on Saturday at Eagle Square in Abuja.
He said he is the best candidate the All Progressives Congress (APC) can field in 2023 to succeed President Buhari.
While adressing the crowd, the governor called on Nigerians to make informed decisions on who becomes the next President, warning against making the mistakes of the past.
He said Nigeria deserves to be a united nation where no one will be considered a minority if he’s elected as President.
The APC presidential aspirant promised to create 20 million millionaires by the year 2030 using the South East model of apprenticeship.
The governor assured of empowerment for Nigerians if elected by ensuring that no one is made to think they are inferior, insisting that leadership can lead one to stand alone.
He said in the course of building a virile nation he would do all that is needed to improve the living condition of Nigerians.
While he promised to do what is right without fear of favour, adding that he will demonstrate strong courage in neutralizing crimes like banditry, kidnapping, armed roberry while assurring of tough times for non state actors whom he noted are allowed to take up arms against the state in Nigeria if elected.
