Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi was on parade for West Bromwich Albion in their premier league win over Sheffield United at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

Ajayi started the game and went on to play the entire minutes to help the Baggies sealed their first Premier League victory of the campaign.

It was a memorable game for Ajayi as he stood firm in the defense to prevent their visitors from hitting an equalizer just before the end of the match.

“We’re delighted we won, we showed quality and character, they had chances but so did we to go 2-0 up and make it a little bit easier for us.” West Brom coach Slaven Billic said after the game.

Conor Gallagher’s scored the only goal of the game to seal a 1 – 0 victory over  Sheffield United, who have now lost nine matches this season.

Gallagher took advantage of some poor defending from a corner kick and beat Aaron Ramsdale with a clinical finish from 20 yards.

The win moves West Bromwich Albion out of the relegation zone and lifts them to 17th.
