Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho made his first appearance of the 2020-2021 season for Leicester City in their Carabao Cup clash with Arsenal at King Power on Wednesday.

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers made 11 changes to the team that beat Burnley and Iheanacho is one of the new faces that featured in the game.

Iheanacho started as the arrow if the attack in the place of rested Jamie Vardy, while his compatriot Wilfred Ndidi missed the game due to injury.

Leicester City started brightly with Marc Albrighton doing brilliantly to carve out the game’s first chance.

Kelechi Iheanacho was also denied at point-blank range by Bernd Leno after he was clear on goal.

The Foxes however regretted missing those chances as Christian Fuchs’ second-half own goal gave the Gunners the lead.

Eddie Nketiah bundled home the second in stoppage time to send the Foxes out of the Carabao Cup after just one game.
